261. Digital Media I 
Digital techniques for the Fine Arts and an introduction to the Macintosh platform.
Bitmap and Vector skills applicable to 2D, 3D and design are explored in depth 
through the use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. 
3 semester hours, 6 hours studio, 3 hours independent study per week.
Prerequisite: ART 100, 110 or approval of instructor. Fall, spring.


464. Time Based Media
Audio, video, animation and live event are explored.  
3 semester hours, 6 hours studio, 3 hours independent study per week. 
Prerequisite: ART 261.


463. Motion Graphics
After Effects is used as a motion graphics and video image manipulation tool.  
3 semester hours, 6 hours studio, 3 hours independent study per week. Prerequisite: ART 261.  It is highly recommended that 464 Time Based Media precede this course.

462. Interactive: Site & Context
Depending on the semester, Interactive Art covers one of three main topics: 
User control of time-based media, art for the web or an examination of how a work might directly address the physical location or social context it is exhibited in.  
Check each semester to see the current topic. 
3 semester hours, 6 hours studio, 3 hours independent study per week. Prerequisite: ART 261.  (464 Time Based Media highly recommended before 462 Interactive Media)


461. Advanced Digital Media 
Advanced digital imaging topics covered vary. 
3 semester hours, 6 hours studio, 3 hours independent study per week. 
Prerequisite: ART 261.
